Ethan John McCleve

Who would have guessed we'd be a family of 3 - yes 3! boys????  Ethan is just the sweetest little guy.  He was born May 5, 2012 at 1:07 am.  21 inches and 7 lbs 14 oz.  Check out his newborn pictures at the link below.  So hard to believe that he was only 2 days old when these pictures were taken!

He is so much bigger now.  It's only been 3 weeks and his Newborn outfits are too small!  He is too long to fit his legs in and the sleeves are almost up to his elbows already!

Tonight Andrew helped me give him his first -non sponge- bath.  The boys are so sweet with him.  They like to touch him and look at him.

Pumpkin Patch fun October 2011

We went to a pumpkin patch with our friends the Sutters - Alexander was in heaven trying to work the "digger" contraption. He is sooo into construction trucks. Then we went to a pumpkin patch here in San Jose with the boys' best friends - The Millers, Liaus, and Nolls.

Halloween 2011

We dressed up as Toy Story Characters - as if you couldn't already tell! Woody, Bo Peep, Buzz Lightyear, and the little Alien guy! The boys had so much fun trick or treating down our street! I think John enjoyed it just as much. And the candy! Oh glory of glories!

This was at our ward's trunk or treat activity. We also invited our friends Lan and Anna Bullock.

Poor Andrew

Poor Andrew has been through it all these past 10 days. First the fall from the ladder, then 3 days after that he pulled the high chair down on top of him - bloody nose everywhere! Then (notice the band aid on his hand) a few days later he knocked the tall floor lamp in the family room which shattered everywhere. I looked down and saw drops of blood on the carpet, then looked at Andrew - blood everywhere! John grabbed him and ran for the bathroom. At first we weren't sure where it was coming from. Finally we discovered it was only a cut in his hand.
Gosh, what does Alexander think of all of Andrew's mishaps? Not sure, but he is definitely able to recount everything that happened in great detail.

Traumatic Experience for all of us!

So we had a big scare this afternoon. Andrew and Alexander climbed to the highest rung of a 6 ft (Little Giant) ladder. We had placed in the grass, just in case, because they love to climb. I was sitting out watching them, putting together my Bo Peep Halloween costume for a party this evening, when suddenly Andrew fell all the way down to the ground and started screaming. I grabbed him and ran for the phone to call for help - John was not home. There was blood everywhere. I think poor Alexander, as he stood there watching it all, was in shock and didn't know what to make of it. Our neighbor came over to help, but by then I had gotten the wound to stop bleeding and had Andrew calm on the couch eating m&ms and watching cartoons until John could get home.
John stayed home with Zander and I took Andrew to the Kaiser minor injury clinic. We got right in to see the doctor.
I felt like such an irresponsible parent as they asked me how his accident occured and how tall the ladder was. Luckily Andrew was running around, talking, smiling, acting very normal. The doctor cleaned him up - that was quite an ordeal, but he was immediately happy when it was all over. The doctor said usually they do a catscan when someone falls at least twice the distance of their height (Andrew's distance was 3-4 times that!), but since there were no signs of trauma and he was acting completely normal, we decided to forgo the scan. We do need to keep a watchful eye on him for the next 3 days and wake him every 2 hours to make sure he doesn't loose consciousness.

Happy Hollow

Happy Hollow is a fun place we like to go with our friends the Millers and the Liaus. Here are some pictures from some past trips.
